Tenacatita: Active

Our most popular tour! From La Manzanilla we drive about 25 minutes to the idyllic fishing village of Tenacatita. From here, we embark into Tenacatita Bay and paddle for about an hour before stopping on a secluded beach where we snorkel over a fringing coral reef, have a snack, and talk briefly about coral reef ecosystems before embarking into Tenacatita Bay once again. After more paddling in the bay we enter "La Vena," a mangrove estuary. Here, we discuss mangrove ecosystems before heading into the full-canopy mangrove lagoon where birding opportunities abound. We end in Tenacatita where you will be treated to a traditional Mexican seafood lunch at La Fiesta Mexicana restaurant. Approximate time from departure to arrival: 8-10 hours. Includes: Insurance, sea kayak and snorkel instruction and equipment, binoculars, coral reef and mangrove ecology, snack and lunch. Approx $105 per person.
