Study Spanish at CocoCabañas!!!

CocoCabañas Solar Powered Beachside Inn presents a unique four week intensive Spanish course designed to get you conversational while you enjoy the amazing paradise of CostaAlegre.  You will live and study in the small solar powered eco-cabanas on the Playa de Coco Beach near the tropical vacation town of Barra de Navidad.

Classes are held in our relaxed palapa room (thatched roof structure) outside four hours a day Mon-Fri by a native bilingual certified teacher from the Barra Language Institute.  The class size is intentionally small (limit 7 participants). The lessons are designed to teach you more than just the basics that most tourist only learn, but actually make you comfortable conversing with the friendly inhabitants in town and among the rural areas.  Classes are combined with excursions around town and other interesting areas to enhance the student's experience. 

Class 1 Dates:   June 4- June 29 2007

Class 2 Dates:   July 2- July 27 2007

Class 3 Dates:   July 30- August 24 2007

Living Arrangements

Each cabaña is a two-story thatch roof structure, built with woven wood and adobe walls.  As a result of the climate and their intelligent design, the cabañas remain cool, fresh and comfortable year round.  There are ceiling fans upstairs for additional cooling if necessary.  The Palm, Ocean, and Aztec Cabañas have furnished lower living level with sofa bed, loft with king size bed (or the option of two single beds), giant window with fantastic ocean view, bathroom with plentiful hot water, porch and a hammock.   The SunMoon cabaña is slightly different with a king bed (or the option of two single beds) on the lower level and reading/relaxing half loft upstairs.  Each cabaña has a hammock outside perfect for relaxing, reading and studying.

Participants should specify whether they prefer to have their own cabaña or wouldn't mind sharing with a member of the same sex.  If you choose to accept a roommate and roommate is found, you will receive a discount as specified above.

Rooms are equipped with power outlets and Internet and phone service is available in the bar restaurant area. (Please remember to turn off all lights and fans when not in use, and to unplug your electronic devices after charging). Click here for a photo tour of the cabañas. 

Food

Breakfast includes fruit, pancakes, cereal, yogurt, granola, or eggs (Juevos Rancheros).  Other meals are will include quality Mexican favorites such as moles, enchiladas etc...  Vegetarians and others with special diets will be accommodated.  Refrigerator space is available to participants who wish to store personal food items.
